Services - Extranet:
An extranet is similar to an intranet in every way, except that it is hosted on a public medium.
In other words it is not denied access from the internet, but hosted on it, so it can be accessed
anywhere in the world. Due to this factor, higher security measures must be taken.
The extranet is protected by username and password and if further protection of transmitted data is required a SSL certificate can be setup for the extranet,
which encrypts data within the established authenticated session, so prying eyes cannot see.
